Privacy policy

MixDeck (crossmix.site) is a browser DJ console that plays YouTube videos. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We keep it to the minimum the service needs.
What we collect
- Google account (only if you sign in). When you choose “Sign in with Google” we receive your Google account ID, email address, name and profile picture. We request only the
openid,emailandprofilescopes — no access to Gmail, Drive, contacts or anything else. - Your crate. If you are signed in, the tracks you add to the crate (YouTube video ID, title, channel name, thumbnail link, length, date added) are saved to your account so they are there on any device.
- Session cookie. A single cookie (
mx_session) keeps you signed in. We store only a one-way hash of it. During sign-in a short-lived cookie (mx_oauth) protects the redirect. - Subscription status. If you buy MixDeck Pro we store your Dodo Payments subscription ID, its status and renewal date. We never see or store your card details.
- Data stored in your browser. Mixer settings, hot cues, BPM grids and (when signed out) your crate are kept in your browser’s local storage and never leave your device.
- Visit counter. The “online / visits” badge increments an anonymous counter. No identifier is sent with it.
How we use it
Only to run MixDeck: to sign you in, save and restore your crate, and unlock Pro features you paid for. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone except the providers below.
Service providers
- Google — sign-in, and YouTube for video playback and track titles. Playing videos is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and YouTube Terms of Service. Fonts are served by Google Fonts.
- Cloudflare — hosting and our database.
- Dodo Payments — merchant of record for Pro subscriptions; it processes payment details, tax and invoices under its own privacy policy.
- abacus.jasoncameron.dev — the anonymous visit counter.
- Deezer — to find a song’s tempo, our server sends the YouTube video’s title and channel name (nothing about you) to Deezer’s public catalogue.
Retention and deletion
Account data and your saved crate are kept while your account exists. Sessions expire after 60 days. You can ask us to delete your account and all associated data at any time by writing to cgtyklnc@gmail.com from the email you sign in with; we will do so within 30 days. Payment records held by Dodo Payments are retained as required by law. You can also revoke MixDeck’s access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR) you may request access to, correction of, export of or deletion of your personal data, and object to its processing. Contact us at cgtyklnc@gmail.com.
Children
MixDeck is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date above. Material changes will be noted on the site.
